The Process

In cold process soap, chosen oils are mixed with an alkali solution (lye & water or other liquid) which when mixed together, initiates the saponification proccess; essential oils or other natural ingredients are added. With lots and lots of hand stirring, the mixture will come to 'trace'. The soap is poured into a wooden mold, covered for twenty-four hours. At this time, the batch is removed from its box, layed onto a drying screen, and aged for four weeks. When all ingredients have been saponified, you have beautiful handmade soaps.

Cold process soaps retain glycerin--the wonderful moisturizing agent that most commericial soaps do not contain! That is one reason our natural organic soaps leaves your skin feeling squeaky clean!

Despite negative comments, NO lye remains in the finished soap.

Remember our soaps contain

  • NO preservatives
  • NO harsh chemicals
  • NO artifical fillers
